    Conover Snowmobile Club
Date of Report:   March 1, 2010
    Trail Conditions:   Poor
    Snow Cover:   Varying inches

Area Report:   Trails took a beating over the weekend. Town roads, bridge crossings and road
routes are pretty much bare. Our Trail 13 north of HWY K is really thin with many bare spots. Trail
12 east of town out to Trail 45 is junk and Trail 45 north of Trail 12 for about 1/2 mile is also junk.
That area got destroyed by a logger/excavator. We did get about 2 inches of snow yesterday,
but it was in the mid 30's so it was melting almost as it hit the ground. Sure would have been
nice to get a dumping, oh well.
I am canceling our club rides until further notice and conditions improve. Forecast for the week
looks like highs in the mid 30's with lows in the mid teens and no significant snow. We did
groom last night but will be cutting back intil things improve, maybe we can squeeze a couple
more weeks of riding in before we face "mud season". Pray for a blizzard!!
